Abstract Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) has emerged as an innovative technological approach in the high-rise, high-density city of Hong Kong to address shortages housing, skilled labour and boost productivity quality built environment. The current context MiC is mainly driven by significant government instigation accompanied policies, regulations, financial incentives, government-initiated projects. Despite such governmental support its known benefits, adoption still at ‘infancy’ stage development terms industry-wide uptake, due complex nature. Therefore, it vital collaboration construction industry participants accelerate level. This requires a joint focus on consolidated new direction uptake adoption. To underpin justify this direction, dialectical system framework developed paper review synthesize apposite systematic literature, conceptualize Kong. Thereby, was widened towards technical, social, co-evolved economic political aspects geographical boundaries. Subsequently, indicate components policy regulations (regulatory context), technology stakeholder inducement, research their inter-relations.
